The HM Customs Gibraltar’ ICIS (Integrated Customs Information System) Customs Declaration Processing System (CDPS) allows for the creation, submission and processing of electronic customs declarations and associated documents in a completely automated environment.
The main ICIS CDPS features include:
Traders’ function
- transactional facility for keying in customs declarations, for all types of customs procedures (full business coverage)
- provision of online comprehensive information about legal requirements applicable to each specific transaction (such as licenses, authorisations, certificates etc)
- online interface and real-time cross-validation with ICIS Integrated Tariff and reference databases
- possibility to complete a declaration over several sessions
- facility to upload and process XML documents (e.g. electronic customs declarations prepared using proprietary systems, attached electronic documents etc)
- facility to re-use data, e.g. generate e-declaration from a previous electronic document
- processing of electronic supporting documents
- facility to update, modify or delete declaration data
- automatic calculation of duties, taxes and guarantees
- submission of e-declarations to Customs and other competent authorities

- automatic and on request notification of users (via SMS or e-mail) about the status of the declaration
